Georgia Southern Falls in Five to James Madison - Georgia Southern University Athletics

Harrisonburg, VA Georgia Southern battled through five sets but ultimately fell to James Madison, 3–2 (25–17, 13–25, 20–25, 25–23, 15–11), Friday evening. The Eagles dropped to 16–4 overall and 7–2 in Sun Belt play, while the Dukes improved to 15–6 and 8–1 in the conference.

After dropping the opening set, the Eagles responded with back-to-back wins in sets two and three, hitting .429 and .308 respectively to take a 2–1 match lead. However, James Madison regained momentum late, edging out tight fourth and fifth sets to claim the victory.

Reagan Barth led the Georgia Southern offense with 16 kills, while Maggie Sale and Alex Myers each added 12 and 11, respectively.
