THE LONE STAR LONG HAUL
The Georgia Southern softball will close out the current stretch of nine games over an eight day span on a tour through the state of Texas. The Eagles opened the trip by traveling to San Marcos where they claimed a 2-1 Sun Belt Conference series victory over the Texas State Bobcats with wins of 6-1 and 5-4. The Eagles followed that up by playing against the nationally-ranked Texas A&M Aggies. Between the pair of games that made up Tuesday's doubleheader, the Eagles scored 12 runs and recorded 19 hits while hanging tough against the Aggies.
