STATESBORO – Georgia Southern continued its hot streak in Sun Belt play with a 3-1 win over App State Friday night at Hanner Fieldhouse, overcoming an early setback to claim its seventh conference victory of the season.
"We knew we were going to get a pretty good punch from them coming out in set one," head coach Chad Willis said. "I thought we did a great job of sustaining that in set two, and then our offense really picked up. We played some really clean volleyball in set three and four. Eagle nation was out in full force today, and we really fed off that energy.
