GS traveled to Atlanta on Tuesday to face GT in the first matchup of the season, where they would fall 7-6 despite a late rally.

The Eagles and Yellow Jackets squared off in a Tuesday night matchup, and from early on GS proved they could hang with Tech, taking an early 2-0 lead in the third inning after junior infielder Steven Curry singled in a bases-loaded situation, driving in a run. Sophomore outfielder Noah Tressler grounded into a double play the next at bat, but not before a second run would come in.

The Yellow Jackets would score three runs in the fifth to take their first lead of the game, before adding another run in the sixth, extending their lead to 4-2.
