Football Leads the Country in Community Service Hours Logged

STATESBORO – Georgia Southern student-athletes had another standout year helping out in the community, finishing 12th in the NCAA Division I in community service hours logged during the 2018-19 academic year.

According to data collected via the Helper Helper platform, the Georgia Southern football team finished with the most logged hours in the country in its respective sport while the swimming & diving program finished fourth.

The Eagle baseball team led the athletic department with 8,352 hours of community involvement, followed by softball with 3,422 verified hours.
