STATESBORO, GA. - Georgia Southern Baseball came out on the short end of a 10-3 line on Tuesday night against Georgia Tech. The Yellow Jackets got five runs in the first inning and didn't look back in their annual non-conference trip to J.I. Clements Stadium. The Eagles out-hit Georgia Tech 14-13 on the night as they prepare for this weekend's three-game series against Georgia in Statesboro.
Georgia Tech got five runs, four earned off Georgia southern starting pitcher Zach Strickland in the first inning to take a commanding lead. The visitors followed with three home runs from first baseman Kel Johnson as the junior tied a school record for home runs in a game.
