STATESBORO – It was another sweltering morning as the heat index reached 105 degrees Friday morning at Georgia Southern's seventh preseason football practice. The team battled through the heat in shells and helmets at Beautiful Eagle Creek in preparation for Saturday' first full scrimmage.
The big news of the day came as athletic director released a statement that quarterback is out of the student-athlete code of conduct protocol after his charge was dismissed last night in South Carolina. No further discipline will be administered and the junior is now cleared for the opener just 22 days away.
