STATESBORO, Ga. - Georgia Southern track & field hosted their first event of the 2021 outdoor season this weekend, taking the G.A.T.A Classic crown. GS scored 216 points on the weekend, winning by 73 points.
In the 100 meter, the Eagles would finish second, third and fourth to collect points. Camryn Mathis posted a time of 11.92 to take home silver and move into 9th best in school history. In the 200 meter, Scovia Ayikoru, posted a second place finish and 8th in school history with a time of 24.50 in the event. Aris Hubbard finished just behind Ayikoru with a time of 24.
