Troy, Ala. – Georgia Southern continued its strong start to Sun Belt play Friday night, defeating Troy 3-1 (25–19, 25–19, 16–25, 25–20) inside Trojan Arena. The Eagles improved to 13-3 overall and 4-1 in conference, while the Trojans fell to 3-10 (1-4 SBC).
"Great fight on the road tonight," head coach Chad Willis said. "Proud of our group for being dialed into the game plan and staying poised in that 4th set to close out the match. We played pretty clean and did a nice job pressuring when we needed to with our block and defense, going to need to win the first contact battle tomorrow on the quick turn around.
