STATESBORO, Ga. – Adam Davie scored his sixth goal of the season in the 40th minute and Jokull Blaengsson made five saves, as the Eagles collected a 1-1 result over the No. 21 Northern Illinois Huskies, on Thursday evening in MAC play.
Georgia Southern earns its first point as a MAC affiliate with the 1-1 draw on Thursday night. In the 20th minute, Nick Markanich was able to beat the Eagle defense and head the ball over Blaengsson to take the lead 1-0.
In the 40th minute, Adam Davie found the back of the net for the sixth time this season, shooting through a crowd of players to beat Martin Sanchez bottom right.
