The Georgia Southern women’s soccer team (1-3) scored their first goal of the season Friday night in 1-0 win over Jacksonville State, but couldn't carry the momentum into Sunday afternoon’s 3-0 loss at Gardner-Webb.

The Eagles dominated possession most of the way, scoring the games' only goal and their first goal of the young season in just the fifth minute of action. It was sophomore forward Brogan Boudreaux with the goal off an assist from redshirt junior forward Halle Huff that gave the Eagles the lead, and eventually, the win.
