On a routine Thursday morning, Georgia Southern athletic director Tom Kleinlein sits in his office inside of the Parrish Building. Despite coaches and administrators moving into the newly-renovated building back in the fall, Kleinlein’s office walls are bare, with framed pictures leaned up against the wall waiting to be put up.
The slow decoration process seems simple enough.
“I’m never here,” Kleinlein says. “There’s too much to do outside of this office.”
Since being tasked to lead the department in November of 2012, Kleinlein has embraced a mentality originally brought to town by football coach Erk Russell that “runts have to try harder.
