The Georgia Southern men's basketball team rode its star backcourt and stifling team defense to a convincing 77-53 victory over Cal State-Bakersfield in its home opener Monday night, as junior guards Tookie Brown and Ike Smith scored 24 and 21 points, respectively.
"I feed off him, and he feeds off me," Smith said. "But when you got teammates like Jake [Allsmiller] and Mike [Hughes] and I could go down the list, they can just give us so much confidence to keep being aggressive and keep shooting."
