STATESBORO, Ga. – Senior Steven Fisk shot a 2-under-par 70 to lead the Georgia Southern men's golf team into a sixth-place standing after the first round of the 40th Schenkel Invitational Friday at the Forest Heights Country Club.
Fisk got off to a slow start, bogeying the second and third holes, but came roaring back with an eagle on seven and a birdie on nine to finish the front nine strong. Fisk birdied the 10th and 18th holes to finish with a 70, which puts him in a tie for sixth place after a day.
