STATESBORO, Ga. – For the first time since 2015 the women's soccer team is back in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament. The Eagles will be seeking revenge after falling to Troy Sunday afternoon. The Trojans shutout the Eagles 5-0 and claimed the third seed in the conference tournament. Georgia Southern and Troy will face off in the first round Wednesday, November 1 at 8:00 p.m. EST.
The last time the Eagles were in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament they faced off against Troy in the first round. The Trojans defeated the Eagles 3-0 and advanced to the semifinals against Georgia State.
