STATESBORO - The Georgia Southern football squad held its final full scrimmage of the preseason Saturday at Allen E. Paulson Stadium, a 60-play affair that was dominated by the defense.
The defense didn't allow on a score on the day and was highlighted by three interceptions. Chase Dial-Watson intercepted a Sam Kenerson pass that would have likely gone 60 yards to the house if not blown dead. Marques Watson-Trent intercepted a Cam Ransom pass late in the scrimmage and Derrick Canteen ended the scrimmage with an interception of Kenerson.
