With injuries to both Favian Upshaw and Kevin Ellison, true freshman Seth Shuman took over at the helm for the Eagle offense. He impressed fans with a quick 3rd and long completion to keep the opening drive alive. He continued to help work the offense down the field. The drive would end with a 39-yard field goal from Younghoe Koo. A few possessions later, ULL put together an impressive drive to go the length of the field and put their first score of the night on the board. The ensuing possession would see the Cajuns work their way down the field with assistance of a couple penalties.
