CHARLOTTE, N.C. – No. 18 Charlotte tallied two second half goals, to guide the 49ers to a 3-1 victory over the Eagles on Sunday night. Charlotte improves to 1-1-0 on the season, while the Eagles fall to 1-1-0.
Georgia Southern opened the scoring in the 10th minute, as Mauro Gutierrez-Solis was able to find Jacob Green-Pedersen who placed it into the back of the net. In the 35th minute, Charlotte was able to respond as Joe Brito scored one of his two goals on the night.
The match was leveled a 1-1 heading to the half.
