LOS ANGELES - Georgia Southern struck first, but in the end, the USC Trojans were too much in handing the Eagles a 59-20 defeat Saturday at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum in non-conference football action.
The Eagles forced a fumble on the first drive of the game when jarred the ball loose and pounced on it. Three plays later, freshman found for a 32-yard touchdown pass to put the Eagles up 6-0.
After the Trojans scored three touchdowns, the Eagles (0-2) put together a seven-play, 75-yard scoring drive in the second quarter that was capped by finding Brown for the 24-yard touchdown pass to make it 21-13.
