STATESBORO - Georgia Southern women's tennis excelled in its Fall Shootout over the weekend at the Wallis Tennis Center, going 27-12 in combined singles and doubles action over the three days of competition.
The tournament featured six different teams as well as the Eagles, and Georgia Southern played individual singles and doubles matches against Emory, Troy, Jacksonville State, Mercer and Georgia State throughout the weekend. The Eagles went 12-2 in Friday's action (8-2 singles, 4-0 doubles), 9-4 on Saturday (6-3 singles, 3-1 doubles) and concluded Sunday by going 6-6 (4-4 singles, 4-4 doubles.)
"We had a very solid weekend on the court overall," Georgia Southern Head Women's Tennis Coach Sean McCaffrey said.
