The Clemson Tigers paid a visit to J.I. Clements Stadium Friday night, but also sent several pitches they saw right back out of the park.
Clemson crushed three home runs – including a pair of three-run shots – and coasted to a 12-1 victory to kick off the three-game series.
“You’ve got to give (Clemson) credit,” GS coach Rodney Hennon said. “They put their bat on the ball and made things happen for some big innings. We had a few chances where we could have done the same, but couldn’t get the runs.
