STATESBORO, Ga. – The final road weekend before returning home to the friendly confines of the Wallis Tennis Center, began on Saturday in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Eagles took on the 49ers in the first match of Charlotte's doubleheader. Charlotte would defeat the Eagles 6-1 improving their record to 6-6 on the season. The Eagles fell to 1-8 and are looking to snap a two match skid tomorrow against Winthrop.
Senior Eddie Landin and doubles partner Diego Finkelstein provided a spark for the Eagles in doubles play, winning their match 6-2 and swinging the momentum the Eagles way.
