After dropping back to back road games, the Georgia Southern women’s basketball team gathered a much needed home win against conference opponent Louisiana Monroe.
Following a close contested first quarter, the Eagles soon broke into a rhythm offensively and took control of the game.
Despite only shooting 41 percent from the floor in the first half , the Eagles’ defensive efforts held the Warhawks to just 27 points, giving them an 11 point lead going into halftime.
The Eagles came out hot to start the second half, starting the third quarter on an electric 14-0 run, and gaining a comfortable lead over the Warhawks.
