Montgomery, Al. --- The Georgia Southern baseball team (28-31) concluded their 2025 season with a loss to Louisiana (27-30) on Thursday afternoon (May 22nd) at the Sun Belt Tournament.
Unlike the previous two in Montgomery, the Eagles let the Cajuns strike first with two singles in the opening frame by the Cajuns. Outside of this, Carter DeGondea would have another incredible showing on the mound, going 5.1 innings. The junior would allow just five hits, two runs, and striking out four in his final appearance of the year.
The score would remain 1-0 until the fifth, when Southern's offense would finally come out of its shell.
