STATESBORO - Georgia Southern only needed seven innings to complete a Sun Belt Conference series sweep of the ULM Warhawks on Sunday afternoon at J.I. Clements Stadium.
Georgia Southern (23-21, 13-8 SBC) took an early lead over the Warhawks (15-29, 5-15 SBC) in the botton of the first frame, starting with a RBI-single that brought home . In the same inning, knocked a two-RBI double to left center field, bringing home Dowdell and to take an early 3-0 lead. The Warhawks stormed back in the top of the second inning with a three-RBI single and error, but the Eagles would keep the Warhawks under control for the remainder of the game.
