STATESBORO, Ga. – The Georgia Southern women's tennis team had their season come to a close Friday morning, falling to Troy 4-2. The Eagles finished the season with a 14-7 record and defeated rivals Georgia State and Appalachian State in the same weekend.
The Eagles had a slow start to the morning dropping the doubles point and heading into singles behind 1-0. In singles play the Eagles dropped the first set on five of the six courts. Those four of those five Eagles battled back to win the second set and send five of the six courts into third set tiebreakers.
