Eagles Come Back To Down Mountaineers, 11-8, On Sunday

BOONE, N.C. - Georgia Southern softball plated four runs over the final two innings to defeat Appalachian State, 11-8, on Sunday afternoon in Boone.

The Eagles (9-20, 4-8 SBC) collected a win in the final game of their Sun Belt series with the Mountaineers (19-14, 7-5 SBC). Georgia Southern has notched a win in each of its four league series so far this year. The Eagles return to action on Wednesday, paying a non-conference doubleheader at Charleston Southern beginning at 4 p.m.

Georgia Southern plated six runs in the top of the first inning against Appalachian State starter Kaylie Northrop.
