Eagles break 28 year drought in Atlanta with a win over State

Georgia Southern’s men’s basketball team snapped their losing streak in Atlanta after beating the Georgia State Panthers 79-70 Friday night.

This marked the Eagles first win in Atlanta in nine games and their first win there since January 11, 1992. With the win the Eagles split the season series with the Panthers.

Senior forward Isaiah Crawley led the Eagles with 18 points and eight rebounds. Ike Smith added 15 points with six rebounds and Calvin Wishart had 12 points.

The Eagles led for the entire game with their biggest lead being 15 points with 7:21 left in the 2nd half.
