Eagles Blitz San Diego Christian, 100-60, On Monday

SAN DIEGO - Sophomore Simone James scored a career high-tying 18 points in her hometown to lead Georgia Southern women's basketball to a 100-60 victory over San Diego Christian on Monday evening at the Kroc Center in San Diego.

Georgia Southern improved to 4-1 overall and went 1-1 on its first trip to California as a program. San Diego Christian, an NAIA school, played the game as an exhibition against the Eagles.

San Diego Christian led by two, 10-8, with 2:14 left in the first quarter, but the Eagles turned up the defense to embark on a 19-0 run over the next five and a half minutes to build a 27-10 lead.
