Eagles Blitz Black Bears, 45-17, With Big Second Half

STATESBORO - Georgia Southern football piled up 516 yards of offense to even its record on the season, defeating Maine by a 45-17 score on Saturday evening at Paulson Stadium.

The Eagles (2-2) improved to 2-0 at home with the win, while Maine falls to 0-4 on the year. Georgia Southern will be next in action on Saturday, September 27, visiting James Madison for a 1:30 p.m. Sun Belt contest in Harrisonburg, Va. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+ as well as the Georgia Southern Sports Network.

Georgia Southern led 17-14 at halftime thanks to three-yard touchdown runs by OJ Arnold and Dalen Cobb, as well as a 22-yard field goal by Tripp Bryant.
