ARLINGTON, TEXAS – Georgia Southern Baseball was shutout for the first time this season, dropping game one of the three-game series, 4-0, to the UT Arlington Mavericks. Georgia Southern and UT Arlington will play a Saturday doubleheader to close out the series with bad weather expected on Sunday.

BOTTOM 4TH – A fielding error by the Eagles with two outs gave the Mavericks second life, resulting in runners on the corners. UTA delivered with back-to-back RBI singles to take a 2-0 lead with the unearned runs.
BOTTOM 6TH – UT Arlington opened the sixth with a pair of singles and advanced both runners into scoring position with two outs.
