STATESBORO, Ga. – Sunday afternoon the Eagles and Panthers took to the pitch for the 21st time in program history. Maddie Klintworth made her first collegiate start for the Eagles, after appearing in 13 games this season. The Panthers jumped out to a quick start pressuring the Eagles in the box.
Brooke Smith was able to give the Panthers a 1-0 lead, following the Penalty Kick that was awarded in the 13th minute. The Eagles were able to settle down and regain composure, after a handball in the box during the final minutes of the first half awarded the Eagles with a Penalty Kick.
