STATESBORO, Ga. – The Georgia Southern Athletics Department announced Thursday that it will be making a change to its future non-conference football schedules as it adds a home and home with New Mexico State while removing Kent State from the schedule.
New Mexico State is a familiar foe for Georgia Southern as the two have met three times as members of the Sun Belt Conference. Last year in Las Cruces, Georgia Southern picked up a 22-19 win and the Eagles are currently 3-0 all time against New Mexico State.
This year, Georgia Southern will host New Mexico State in Paulson Stadium in a Sun Belt matchup.
