Eagle offense to lose a wide receiver

The Eagles took a loss on their offense as freshman wide receiver Marcus Rogers announced his transfer status Monday afternoon.

Rogers posted about his transfer via twitter where he identified he would be continuing his education at Iowa Western Community College.

The freshman played in all 13 games on the season, started two, was on the field for 187 offensive snaps and had one reception for eight yards.

The news wasn’t shocking as the wide receiver from Smyrna, Georgia announced he would not be continuing his football or academic career at Georgia Southern as of Jan.
