HOFFENHEIM, GERMANY - Georgia Southern's German Tour continued on Wednesday as the Eagles dropped a 5-0 result to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. The match was the stiffest test yet for the Eagles, facing side with former senior professional players, current professional players and future stars of Germany.
Hoffenheim's side for the match included Marco Engelhardt, who owns three appearances for the German national team and was selected to the 2005 Confederations Cup squad under coach Jurgen Klinnsman.
The game was played at a fast pace from the opening whistle. Hoffenheim scored the opener in the 14th minute to take a 1-0 lead.
