ELON, N.C. – Nick Jones worked the final two and 2/3 innings allowing two runs on five hits and striking out seven to pick up his nation leading 15th save of the season, as the Eagles defeated Elon 7-5 on Saturday to take the series finale. Georgia Southern improved to 29-20 on the season, while Elon falls to 19-19 on the season.
Hayden Harris improved to 2-2 on the season, working 2/3 innings of work and striking out one batter. Georgia Southern used eight different pitchers in the victory on Saturday.
