Dunleavy resigns to take an assistant coaching job at Mississippi State

The Georgia Southern Women’s soccer club is in search of a new head coach after Brian Dunleavy stepped down to take an assistant coaching position at Mississippi State University.

"This is an incredible opportunity for my family and I to be a part of Mississippi State University," Dunleavy said in a press release. "The athletic department here has an unparalleled atmosphere of positivity, and there is a strong desire for the women's soccer program to reach the highest levels of success.”

Dunleavy was head coach of the Eagles since 2013 and led GS to 41 wins making him the winningest head coach in team history, despite the team not having made a semifinal appearance in the Sun Belt tournament since 2014.
