ATLANTA.- Winning their second Sun Belt contest in a row, the Georgia Southern women's tennis team advanced to 12-7 and 2-2 in conference play after defeating Troy in a close 4-3 dual match at the Georgia State tennis courts.
"I am very pleased with the way that we played during our singles competition today," head coach Michele Stanford said. "Troy is a very tough team to beat, and our girls put up a fight from the very start."
Unable to score the doubles point, the Eagles had to fight back during singles to level the playing field.
