DOTHAN, Ala. – Georgia Southern Cross Country logged a seventh place finish on Saturday morning at the 2016 Sun Belt Cross Country Championships. Ashton Lord led the Eagles home with a 24th place finish in her final Sun Belt Championships run to pace an Eagle squad which was covered by just 50 seconds. That spread was the closest finish for a team's top five finishers of any league team.
With the fourth place finish, the Georgia State has added a point for their school to in the Georgia Southern-Georgia State Rivalry Series. The score for the series is now Georgia Southern 1.
