Montgomery, Al. --- The Georgia Southern baseball team (28-29) defeated Arkansas State (26-28) in the first round of the 2025 Sun Belt Tournament, 13-8, on Tuesday evening (May 20th).
The offense was clicking for the Eagles all night as they mashed 16 hits total against the Red Wolves, as they forced eight A-State pitchers to enter. It all started in the top of he first, when both a JuJu Stevens and single would drive in three runs in the opening frame. The Red Wolves would get one back with a solo shot, however, to make it 3-1 after the opening frame.
