PALM CITY, Fla. – Parker Claxton fired a 67, and Ben Carr shot 68 to lead Georgia Southern men's golf in the final round of The Valspar Collegiate Invitational Tuesday at The Floridian.
Carr (-10) tied for second with North Carolina's David Ford, a stroke behind medalist Ludvig Aberg (-11) of Texas Tech. The 18th-ranked Eagles (-3) finished two strokes behind Wake Forest (-5) and Duke and six shots out of a tie for sixth between No. 2 Arizona State (-9) and No. 14 Texas A&M. Fourth-ranked North Carolina (-27) earned the team title.
