Statesboro, GA - On Thursday, August 31, the Georgia Southern campus gathered together on Sweetheart Circle to kick off the annual 'A Day for Southern' fundraising event. The weekling campaign will culminate with a community-wide effort on Wednesday, September 9, 2017.
Nearly 400 student-athletes proudly represent the University across the nation in competition, academics and service.
However, their education is not free. Fortunately, the Georgia Southern University Athletic Foundation and much of Eagle Nation have made the commitment to provide the funds necessary for student-athletes to attend Georgia Southern University, but it's still not enough.
