STATESBORO - For the first time in program history, the Georgia Southern baseball program will host NCAA Regional games at J.I. Clements Stadium this Friday-Sunday, June 3-5, with an if necessary game played Monday evening, June 6.
The Eagles are the tournament's No. 16 overall seed after going 40-18 and advancing to the Sun Belt championship. GS, the top seed in the region, will host second-seeded Notre Dame, third-seeded Texas Tech and fourth-seeded UNCG as part of the Statesboro Regional, with the winner of the double-elimination format advancing to the Super Regional round next weekend.
