Georgia’s torrid pace on the recruiting trail continued on Saturday.
Having already raked in two commitments in the past week - one a five-star - the Dawgs added to their haul with the commitment of placekicker Peyton Woodring out of Lafayette, La.
Georgia beat out Alabama for the commitment of Woodring, who is rated as a five-star.
His arrival, though not immediate, will come into play in the long haul as this year is Jack Podlesny’s final one in Athens with another kicker, Jared Zirkel also on the roster, so look for Zirkel and Woodring to be expected to compete for and push one another in the placekicker role.
