Western Kentucky hires former Georgia football staffer

The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers have hired Pat Bastien as their linebackers coach. Bastien previously served as Georgia’s assistant director of player development from 2018-2019. He helped the University of Georgia have one of the top defenses in the country during both of those two seasons.

Pat Bastien is a young and talented coach, who spent the 2020 season as the cornerbacks coach for Marshall under Doc Holliday. The Thundering Herd had one of the top defenses in the country last season.

Marshall went 7-3 in 2020 and lost in the C-USA Championship to UAB.
