Gabby Connally, a junior guard on the Georgia Lady Bulldog basketball team, has been tabbed the Southeastern Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.
Connally has posted a trio of double-figure scoring efforts to lead her team on a three-game win streak. The San Antonio native paced Georgia in scoring twice last week, including a 22-point effort against Virginia Tech on Saturday to hand the Hokies their first loss of the season.
“Our team grew up last week, and one major reason for that success is Gabby Connally,” head coach Joni Taylor said. “She really stepped up and played great for us in all three games.
