Vince Dooley recalls ‘small stadium, small crowd’ for UGA spring games of the past

When Vince Dooley presided over his first G-Day game in 1964, Lyndon Johnson was President, The Beatles held the top five spots in the Billboard Top 40 singles chart and IBM rolled out the System/360, its first mainframe computer.

And there were considerably fewer than 93,000 fans in attendance. In fact, there were about 50,000 fewer seats in Sanford Stadium at the time.
