UGA legend among NFL Hall of Fame finalists

The Pro Football Hall of Fame has announced their most recent list of finalists. Georgia Bulldog and New England Patriots legend Richard Seymour is among the most recent finalists.

The Patriots drafted Seymour sixth overall in the 2001 NFL Draft and they weren’t disappointed. Seymour went on to win three Super Bowls (all in New England) and make five All-Pro teams. Seymour played eight seasons in New England and then four seasons for the Oakland Raiders.

He finished his career with 57.5 sacks as a defensive tackle. He recorded 496 tackles in his twelve season career.
