UGA football: Todd Monken being paid handsomely to reinvigorate offense

UGA football is placing a lot of faith in new offensive coordinator Todd Monken. Georgia’s contract with Monken lasts three seasons and he’s guaranteed a raise at the end of each season.

Monken will earn $1.1 million in his first season with UGA football, 1.25 million in the second year and 1.4 million in his third year. If Monken leaves for an NFL job before the end of his second season, he’ll owe Georgia $400,000, but he’ll only owe $200,000 if he leaves after the second season.

Hopefully, Monken is worth every penny.
