ATHENS, Ga. – It doesn’t appear as if missing spring practice hurt Georgia junior defensive tackle Trenton Thompson, as he is getting rave reviews from his coaches for his work during preseason camp.
Second-year defensive coordinator Mel Tucker met with the media Saturday – it was his only availability before the season – and said he was impressed with the way Thompson carries himself.
“Trenton is a lead-by-example guy,” Tucker said. “He brings a tremendous amount of energy to the field. He is very, very destructive and runs to the ball. He is very consistent in that matter.
